On Sunday, February 7, Pastor Bob Sheridan will be sharing in our morning worship services.  Sheridan is the long-time pastor of Palos Bible Church of Palos Heights, Illinois.  More importantly he is the granddad of Oliver and Shelbi.  We are looking forward to him sharing with our congregation.

American Legion Post #8 and Trinity Southern Baptist church are presenting the Four Chaplains Memorial Service to recognize the sacrifice of US service men and women. The service will be part of the 10:45 AM worship service at Trinity on Sunday, February 7. The service recalls the sacrifice of the chaplains serving aboard the USAT Dorchester in 1943. The Dorchester was sunk by the Germans in the North Atlantic on February 3. Throughout the day the chaplains hope in despair and light in darkness. When there were no more lifejackets to be distributed the chaplains removed theirs and gave them to four frightened young men. As the ship went down, survivors in nearby rafts could see the four chaplains—arms linked and braced against the slanting deck. Their voices could be heard offering prayers. Join us as we remember the sacrifice of these four and others who have given of themselves selflessly for our freedoms.

New Song, a ladies choir, from California Baptist University will be in concert at our church on Friday, February 12 at 7 pm.  This choir has more than 60 members!  We will be receiving a love offering to assist the choir with their tour expenses.  We will also be needing host homes for the members for that evening.  If you can assist please call the church office (836.2383).
