Dr. Phil Calvert

Senior Pastor

Dr. Philip W. Calvert was a United States Fulbright Scholar to Iceland and earned his Ph.D. in Political Science from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, where he was a Morris Doctoral Fellow. An ordained minister, Dr. Calvert and his wife, Kristen, served as missionaries in Ecuador and Peru. They have four children (Nathaniel, Benjamin, Rebekah Praise, and Abigail). Abigail was born on the mission field in Quito, Ecuador.

Dr. Calvert has taught at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary as an adjunct faculty member, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary as an Assistant Professor of History at the College at Southwestern, Truett-McConnell University as the Associate Professor of Missions and Associate Director of the World Missions Center, Gateway Seminary as an adjunct faculty member, and Arizona Christian University as an adjunct faculty member.

Dr. Calvert is the author of four books: The Gift of Courage, The Gift of Justice,  The Gift of Unity, and The Gift of Prayer. Dr. Calvert wrote and produced the songs, "Leaving Me in Pieces," and "Going Broke Saving Money," which are available on more than 150 music platforms worldwide. "Leaving Me in Pieces" was written to minister to those who have experienced, or are currently experiencing, the long illness of a loved one. There is a full version and a radio version. On July 1st of 2024 Pastor Phil and his family will celebrate their 12th anniversary serving Trinity and the local community.

Aaryn Sanders

Worship Director

Aaryn Sanders was born and raised in Southern California and received the calling to go into ministry at a young age. He has been leading worship and serving in churches since the age of 12. He has a passion for reaching people for Christ through his music and desires fellowship and to build Christ-centered relationships. In 2015, he graduated from the Calvary Chapel School of Worship in Costa Mesa, California, where he learned to hone and further develop his skills as a worship leader and musician. From 2015-2019, he served as Worship Director in Corona, California and later moved to Queen Creek, Arizona. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Audio Production from Full Sail University. Aaryn has a passion for building relationships and growing together in Christ, and a desire to reach the people of Casa Grande for God’s glory.

Van Sanders

Pastoral Care Minister

Van has been a member of Trinity since the early 1960s, and he has been on staff since 1980. Over these past 40 years he has demonstrated consistently his faithfulness to the Lord and to the church family. He is dearly loved by everyone.

Angela Lawson

Youth Director

Angela is passionate about reaching youth for Christ.

Pat Evans

Secretary

"Mrs Pat" has been secretary since 2014, and is a tremendous blessing to all who enter the church office. She is always ready to help find solutions to those in need.

Tayler Schutte

Custodian

Tayler's role is crucial to the health and safety of all who enjoy the beautiful Trinity campus, and he is always ready to help our ministries succeed in fulfilling their mission to help people discover lifelong purpose in the family off Christ.

Deacons

Deacons are mainly responsible for overseeing the physical and spiritual care for the needs of the members of our Trinity family.
